Steve Hunter

Steve is a Supply Chain professional, specialising in logistics solutions, value creation within the supply chain and customer focused business development. He works with global companies helping them learn how to generate the most value from their supply chains.

He commenced his career in third party logistics in the early 1990s, focussing on the areas of business development and supply chain design. Steve has secured new business in a wide range of industries, including FMCG, Retail, Technology, Industrial, Healthcare and Chemical, working with many international companies to improve their supply chains. The workshop techniques that Steve specialises in to identify areas of value creation have produced excellent results.

Throughout his career, Steve has taught and coached people all over the world in the fields of logistics and supply chain activities, leading edge solutions design approaches, and best practice sales and business development processes. All the material for these courses has been developed from hands on practical experience of the topics.

As Value Proposition Director for the global Logistics Division of one of the largest 3rd Partly Logistics providers in the world, Steve managed the entire Logistics product portfolio across the contract logistics, forwarding and haulage businesses. He also implemented value-based development and marketing approaches throughout the company, rolling these out through a series of training modules and coaching in live environments. Steve also pioneered a consultative mapping process designed to identify areas of value creation in end-to-end supply chains.

Steve not only has extensive experience in designing and improving supply chains in many industry sectors, he also has a genuine interest in the subject of logistics, and gained his degree in Transport and Distribution from the University of Huddersfield.

Leisure activities include music (listening as well as playing) and a keen spectator of grass-roots motor sport.
