Business Simulations
Options for practical learning
- Integrated with a three to five day business learning event
- A stand-alone module in a development programme
- Distance-learning before, between or after programme modules to ensures learning sets maintain momentum and key principles are reinforced
How our simulations work
Each simulation has a piece of software that is the master controller model that manages the market and stock market. The decisions of each team are entered into this model in order to generate the results and reports.
The data required by the master controller is drawn from the teams in one of three ways:
- A simple paper based input form where teams have to build their own spreadsheet models of their business. This process encourages them to build profit and loss accounts and cash flow statements helping to reinforce the financial elements of a training programme
- Using a team model that has been constructed for each team. The models are prepared either as an Excel template or as a software package. These models enable strategies and scenarios to be explored particularly when the focus on the course is to reinforce strategy and marketing.
- Using the internet (based on either of the previous options) where teams can send in their decisions on line from any location and receive back their results. This is the best method for interlude or post course operation.
